Job summary

James River Grounds Management is seeking a Crew Member to perform lawn mowing, clean-ups, mulching, trimming, pruning, fertilization and planting on assigned properties. Leaf clean-ups and landscape maintenance are also part of the role.

You will safely operate equipment (skid steer, backhoe, etc.), apply weed control with licensed chemicals, load/unload gear, follow plans with crew leaders, and help ensure timely, quality work on projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in landscape installation.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; licensure as required by local regulations.
• Holds, at minimum, a State Technician and/or Applicator license per local requirement.

Responsibilities

• Running equipment (skid steer, excavator, backhoe, etc.).
• Apply weed control and other chemical applications with licensure.
• Load and unload equipment, tools, and supplies on truck.
• Follow installation instructions and plans with Crew Leader and Operations Manager.
• Maintain safety and organization of job site, vehicles, trailers, warehouses and offices.
• Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
• Participate in training programs as required.
