Job summary

James River Grounds Management is seeking a Crew Member to perform lawn maintenance, trimming, planting, and landscape upkeep across assigned properties.

The role requires operating heavy equipment, applying chemicals per regulations, and following plans with attention to safety and quality. A valid HS diploma and applicable licenses help; bilingual skills are a plus. We offer robust on-site responsibilities and growth within a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and capable of reading architectural drawings.
• Able to follow plans accurately and work independently with quality results.
• Willingness to train new laborers and teach best practices on site.
• Dependable, punctual, safety conscious, and customer service oriented.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus and helpful for crews.
• Driver's license may be preferred depending on assignments.

Responsibilities

• Operate landscape equipment and perform lawn mowing, clean ups, pruning, and planting tasks.
• Carry out weed control and chemical applications in compliance with laws.
• Load/unload equipment and supplies; follow safety and maintenance policies.
• Support on-site project execution and coordinate with Crew Leader and Operations Manager.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized job site and report issues promptly.
