Job summary
BrightView Landscapes is seeking a Landscaper I to support landscape maintenance across commercial properties. You will perform basic tasks under supervision, assist with equipment operation, and help care for plant materials.
The role involves outdoor work, seasonal hours, and interaction with guests on site. The ideal candidate is at least 18, enthusiastic, able to operate mowers, trimmers, and blowers safely, and familiar with basic horticultural practices.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years old and enthusiastic.
- Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers).
- Certified on level 1 equipment (backpack blower, edger, string trimmer, walk-behind mower).
- Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance practices.
Responsibilities
- Cut turf with power mowers and edge/trim using gas-powered tools.
- Prune shrubs and low trees to shape growth and remove damaged branches.
- Plant and maintain flower beds and mulch leaves/organic matter as needed.
- Operate equipment along sidewalks, beds, trees, and buildings.
- Report unsafe conditions to Crew Leader and maintain a polite demeanor with guests.
