The Department of Recreation at the University of Virginia is seeking a Landscape & Maintenance Technician. This position executes general landscape and maintenance roles for indoor and outdoor recreation department spaces. The technician ensures that parking lots, walkways, and plant beds are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice in assigned areas. The role is responsible for completing routinely and situationally assigned basic maintenance work orders. Work is routinely assigned and monitored at the task level.
$22.50-25.50/hour, commensurate with experience.
This job will require standing, traveling, and lifting above and below the waist various weights which may include different landscape equipment and materials. The use of both hands and repetitive motion will be required while pruning, driving, weeding, and pushing lawn mowers.
