Job summary

Ryan Lawn & Tree Inc seeks a Department Manager to lead irrigation, maintenance, and landscaping operations. You will own the department's performance, oversee a 10+ person team and about $2 million in annual revenue, and partner with HR and other leaders to plan and grow the business.

You will recruit, coach, and evaluate staff, ensure safety and compliance, and stay connected to field operations by stepping into production as needed and working closely with clients to meet service standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of lawn and landscape maintenance leadership experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of irrigation system service and installation.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with budgeting and department operations (GGOB a plus).
• Proficiency with MS Office and field-based software systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead department through strategic planning to set financial goals.
• Oversee recruitment, coaching, and performance evaluations for 10+ associates.
• Manage field operations and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Marketing and other departments on growth initiatives.
• Engage with clients to ensure high levels of service and retention.
