Job summary

Ryan Lawn & Tree Inc. is seeking a Department Manager to lead irrigation, maintenance, and landscaping operations.

You will own overall department performance, drive financial results, recruit and develop a team, and collaborate with other leaders while staying connected to field operations and client needs. The role oversees 10+ associates, $2M in annual revenue with growth plans to 20+ associates and $4M+.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of lawn and landscape maintenance and landscaping leadership experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of irrigation system service and installation.
• Thorough knowledge of landscape maintenance and design/build practices, along with general knowledge of other Ryan services.
• Knowledge of GGOB and department business operations.
• Strong problem-solving and leadership skills, with open communication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft and Google software, and with field-based software systems.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, push and pull objects while walking 3+ miles per day, and work outdoors year-round.
• Valid driver''s license and DOT certificate.
• Safety-sensitive position with pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the department through strategic planning to meet financial goals.
• Oversee department financial performance including production, sales, and growth.
• Recruit, hire, and develop a strong team with HR partnerships.
• Coach staff and conduct regular performance and compensation reviews.
• Lead field operations with emphasis on teamwork, efficiency, and quality.
• Maintain client relationships and address service recovery when needed.
• Collaborate with other managers on strategic initiatives and revenue growth.
