Job summary

Jimmy Jazz is seeking a dedicated Landscaper to assist the facilities manager in creating a functional and attractive outdoor space for residents and employees. You will maintain grounds, plantings, and irrigation, while following safety standards and schedules to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of landscaping experience. Strong initiative and ability to manage priorities are essential for this hands-on role.

Qualifications

• Two years landscaping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist facilities manager in general landscaping for Cypress Lake Recovery property.
• Maintain grounds using all types of grounds-keeping equipment and tools.
• Sweeps, rakes, and cleans grounds.
• Prepares and grades terrain as needed; seeds and/or sods lawns; and transplants and plants shrubs, plants, and trees.
• Applies pesticides and fertilizers according to established standards.
• Mows and trims lawns, repairs established lawns, and plants new lawns.
• Maintains driveways and parking lots.
• Connects and maintains sprinkler equipment; waters lawn, flowerbeds, gardens, shrubs, and trees; installs new equipment and systems; repairs and maintains current irrigation equipment and systems as needed; and performs minor plumbing repairs.
• Assists maintenance mechanics in the servicing and repairs of machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Keeps drainage ditches and culverts free of obstructions; picks up trash and litter; removes trash bags from containers and replaces bags.
• Ensures compliance with established standards for appearance, repairs, and condition for facility.
• Makes facilities manager aware of any damages or necessary repairs that need attention.
