Job summary

Mercer County Works seeks an experienced hardscape foreman to lead installation crews on outdoor projects in New Jersey. You will oversee crew performance, ensure safety, and coordinate materials for pavers, walkways, patios and features.

The role requires identification of plants, operating standard landscaping machinery, and stamina for long days on site. Valid driver's license is a plus but not required. Local project schedule and weather conditions may affect workdays.

Qualifications

Job description

• Must display leadership ability and be able to manage personnel effectively and efficiently.
• Must be able to operate and utilize all tools required to complete hardscaping/landscaping projects.
• Must have proven hardscape installation skills.
• Must have knowledge of pavers, walkways, retaining walls, patios, ponds, fire pits etc.
• Must be able to identify plants.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the work day.
• Must be able to operate skid steers, dingo, tractors, mini excavators etc.
• Driver's license a plus, but not required.
