Job summary

Townsend Company, LLC is seeking a Hardscape Laborer to assist in installation and maintenance of high-quality hardscape and landscape features on residential and commercial properties. You will work hands-on building patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures using pavers, stone, and concrete.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of landscape installation experience, reads and follows instructions, and can operate landscape equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in residential landscape installation.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Works on high-end residential properties, tending to the landscape and gardening needs of clients.
• Constructs retaining walls, installs various hardscape/softscape materials, and builds paver patios and walks.
• Demonstrates solid horticulture and bed care knowledge.
• Knowledgeable about ornamental trees, shrubs, and perennials.
• Assists with peak season operations.

Job description

The Hardscape Laborer is responsible for assisting in the installation and maintenance of high-quality hardscape and landscape features for residential and commercial properties. This position involves hands-on work constructing patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures using materials such as pavers, natural stone, and concrete. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment. This role requires physical stamina, knowledge of industry best practices, and a commitment to safety and craftsmanship.

Duties and Responsibilities Include

• Works on high-end residential properties, tending to the landscape, and gardening needs of clients
• Constructs retaining walls, installs various hardscape/softscape materials, and constructs paver patios and walks
• Demonstrates a solid horticulture and bed care skills background
• Knowledgeable of ornamental trees, shrubs, and perennials
• Assists with peak season operations
• Duties and responsibilities may change with or without notice

What You'll Bring to the Team

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in residential landscape installation
• Write, read, and comprehend written and verbal job instructions/information
• Knowledge of materials such as natural stone, timber retaining walls, pavers, brick, and perennial plant materials
• Working knowledge of Bobcats and other landscape construction equipment
• Basic understanding of irrigation systems and repairs
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record per Company requirements
• Knowledge of essential job functions and responsibilities
• Organizational skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to problem solve
• Meet all physical requirements of the position
• Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations
• 18 years of age or older, or 21 if CDL is required
