Job summary

Mariani Enterprises, LLC in New Jersey is seeking a Landscape Designer/Sales Associate to meet with clients, understand their requirements, and create detailed designs and plans using CAD software. You should have a strong knowledge of plants, aesthetic design principles, and at least 3 years' residential landscape design experience.

A valid NJ driver's license and readiness to travel locally are required. Base salary is $70,000–$80,000 annually, with commission potential bringing total

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on residential landscape design experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Adobe Suite, SketchUp, Lumion preferred.
• Strong portfolio of built landscape projects.
• NJ driver’s license and local travel willingness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present conceptual and schematic designs for construction site plans.
• Create compelling graphics through hand drawings and advanced design software for residential landscapes.
• Prepare detailed documents, plans, and renderings to communicate design vision to clients.
• Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and marketing initiatives.
• Promote company services and products to potential clients and follow up on leads.
• Execute site plans with understanding of grading, drainage, and intricate planting designs.
• Assess and analyze site conditions, considering soil quality, slope, drainage, and existing vegetation.
• Collaborate with the construction team to ensure accurate execution of design plans in the field.
• Leverage geospatial technology to enhance landscape planning and analysis.
• Manage client accounts and conduct meetings to ensure satisfaction and alignment with their vision.
• Negotiate contracts and collaborate with clients and vendors effectively.
• Prepare necessary documents for applications and permits for local approvals.
• Contribute to marketing and business development initiatives, and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
