Job summary

HDR is seeking a Landscape Design Coordinator to assist in site design from concept to construction documents, under a registered Landscape Architect. You will help develop design concepts, create drawings, and ensure documentation meets project needs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering, proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office, and strong communication skills. HDR fosters an employee-owned culture and collaborative multidisciplinary work across communities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering.
  • AutoCAD, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel experience.
  • Photoshop a plus.
  • Ability to prepare site plans and understand the principles of grading and drainage.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of registered Landscape Architect to assist in development of site design projects, from concept design to construction documentation
  • Understand that assignments have specified objectives and require investigation of many variables, including site analysis, building operation, vehicular and pedestrian traffic, site grading and storm drainage
  • Conduct site visits and analyses, and assist the project Landscape Architect with illustration of design using combination of hand-drawn and computer-rendered graphics
  • Provide AutoCAD production support during concept and schematic design, design development, and construction document phases
  • Perform other duties as needed
