Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks a Landscape Architect to design and deliver site plans that shape spaces and communities worldwide.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and planners to create resilient landscapes that enhance well‑being and ecological sustainability. We require a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering, professional registration, and proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, and Photoshop.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop site designs through contract document phases.
  • Conduct site analysis including circulation, grading and drainage, amenities.
  • Meet with client representatives as needed.
  • Participate in reviews for code compliance with utilities and agencies.
  • Coordinate workload to meet deadlines and prepare drawings.
  • Provide contract administration as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Landscape Architect, we'll count on you to:
  • Develop site designs through contract document phases of projects
  • Conduct site analysis to include building operation, vehicular and pedestrian circulation, site grading, storm drainage design and site amenities
  • Meet with client representatives as needed
  • Participate in reviews with various utilities and governing agencies for code compliance
  • Conduct design development and contract document work sessions at project sites
  • Coordinate workload to ensure deadlines are met, reviewing documents for all areas of conflict with all disciplines, writing and editing site design specifications, selecting landscape and paving materials, and preparing drawings as required
  • Provide contract administration as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of 5 years experience
  • GIS knowledge helpful
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering
  • Professional registration
  • Experience with MS Office, AutoCAD and Photoshop
  • Able to prepare site plans and understand the principles of grading and drainage
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee‑owned culture is a must
