Job summary

DJ's Landscape Management in Hastings, MN is seeking a Landscape Bed Maintenance Crew Member to join a small, dedicated team keeping commercial sites sharp all season. You will assist in weed control and professional spray applications, with a focus on safety and quality.

A valid license (or ability to obtain) is required, and training sponsorship is provided. We sponsor your training, materials and exam fees to help you earn a Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (Categories A & E).

Qualifications

• Ability to walk for long periods and carry equipment.
• Must be able to read pesticide labels and apply according to label rates.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain landscapes and bed areas for commercial sites.
• Assist with weed control and pesticide applications as needed.
• Work with a small team under a crew lead to meet quality standards.
• Attend training sessions and participate in ongoing development.

Requirements

• The ability to walk for long periods of time
• Able to carry a backpack sprayer weighing up to 50 pounds
• The ability to take direction from the crew lead and work as team
• The ability to identify common weeds of Minnesota
• The ability to operate and care for assigned equipment
• Skill in reading map directions from a mobile device or hard copy
• Desire to work daily at the highest level of professionalism, quality, and performance
• Desire to work with a team to accomplish goals
• Ability to bend, squat, and lift for long periods of time
• Able to work outdoors in a wide variety of conditions for an extended period of time.
• A valid license or the ability to obtain one.
• Ability to read pesticide labels and accurately measure pesticides according to label rate.
• Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
