Job summary

Landscape Workshop (LW) is seeking an Associate Account Manager in Alabama. The role is a training position designed to prepare future Account Managers through hands-on leadership of crews, client service, and account management while developing skills to manage a portfolio of commercial maintenance accounts.

Selected candidates will participate in a structured program including field labor, software exposure to Aspire, and management training.

Qualifications

• Two or four year degree in a relevant field.
• At least one internship in the landscape industry OR equivalent industry work experience.
• Knowledge of all machinery and trucks involved in delivering our products and services.
• Demonstrated ability to design small landscape projects.
• Experience with, and basic knowledge of, computer operation. Ability to learn Aspire quickly.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, in English.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record over the last three years.
• Ability to pass required Department of Transportation physical.
• Good physical condition. Mental ability to make quick decisions, supervise workers, perform manual labor and interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on properties with crews to meet work and scheduling demand.
• Planting & installation of flower beds and pots including soil prep, mulch, planting and watering.
• Lead crew by enforcing safety at the job site, coordinating equipment and materials.
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment, washing, oil changes, filters, greasing.
• Perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting up to 50lbs, walking long distances, bending and kneeling.
• Participate in the Associate Account Manager Training Program for accelerated development.
• Attend Account Management Training class within the first 7 months in Birmingham, AL.
• Be an example of company values to crew members; participate in weekly branch meetings.
• Other tasks as assigned by branch leadership.
