Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Landscape Architect Intern to contribute to design development, prepare construction drawings for landscape and site design, and support construction phase activities.

The internship is open to students in ABET-accredited Landscape Architecture programs, who have completed about 60 hours toward their degree; basic computer skills and familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp/Rhino, Photoshop and InDesign are preferred.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited Landscape Architecture program.
• Must have completed 60 hours toward degree by Summer 2027.
• Basic data-entry skills for spreadsheets/databases.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp/Rhino, Photoshop and InDesign.

Responsibilities

• Develop design features and illustrative presentations.
• Prepare construction drawings for landscape and general site design (layout, grading, hardscape).
• Provide support during construction including coordination with contractors and site visits.
• Ensure design intent is maintained and aligned with project goals.
• Support team with designs of varying scales and types.

Job Description Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Landscape Architect Intern to join our Atlanta, GA office. Your Role Project feature design development and Illustrative presentation graphic support Prepare construction drawings for both landscape and general site design including layout, grading and hardscape Provide support during the construction phase of landscape architecture projects, including coordination with contractors, site visits, and ensuring design intent is maintained. Support project team members in the design of projects of varying scales and types.

About You

EXPERIENCE: No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in Landscape Architecture

Education

Must have completed 60 hours towards a Landscape Architecture degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).

Special Skills

• Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.
• Basic understanding of AutoCAD, SketchUp/Rino, Photoshop, and InDesign.

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $22 - $28 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
