AtkinsRéalis in Denver, CO is seeking an Estimator/Scheduler Intern for Summer 2027 to support project scheduling, forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis activities. You will assist with master schedules, contractor reviews, and change management while maintaining project records and reporting.

The role emphasizes basic data entry, internship experience in construction, and completing 60 hours toward an engineering or construction management degree by Summer 2027.

Qualifications

  • EXPERIENCE: Prior internship experience in construction preferred.
  • EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours towards an engineering or construction management degree from an accredited college/university by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
  • SPECIAL SKILLS: Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.

Responsibilities

  • Support development, maintenance, and monitoring of project schedules, forecasts, budgets, risks, changes, and performance metrics.
  • Perform estimating, quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, forecasting, reporting, cash flow monitoring, invoice processing, and financial tracking activities.
  • Assist with production of project Master Schedules, contractor schedule review and analysis, time extension analysis, change management, contractor coordination, and compliance monitoring.
  • Maintain project records and databases, validates project information, prepares reports and analyses, and supports project communication and decision‑making.
  • Collaborate with project teams, clients, contractors, consultants, and suppliers to support project execution and continuous improvement initiatives.

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
