Job Description Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Project Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 to join our Denver, CO office.

Your Role
  • Support Aviation project teams in the delivery of infrastructure or facilities programs
  • Support project team in the development or review of project plans, estimates, schedules, and procedures
  • Coordinate operations within organizational unit to ensure consistency with policies and procedures.
  • Under supervision, observe the work of contractors involved in the construction of projects and performs quality assurance (QA) activities.
  • Perform non-manual field work that involves applying acquired knowledge and experience to observe moderately complex construction contracts and related activities.
  • Coordinate with field lead / internal project manager and/or owner on assigned tasks.
  • Record and document construction activities in accordance with contract requirements, such as daily diaries, daily payment reports during progress of work, and others as assigned.
  • Participate in internal quality control checks, maintaining quality standards in all work produced, checking computations, and/or reviewing designs and drawings performed by others.
About You
  • EXPERIENCE: No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
  • EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering, architectural engineering, architecture or construction management degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
Special Skills
  • Ability to walk long distances, climb ladders, stoop, squat and crawl to inspect work; ability to observe construction activities and distinguish colors; and ability to perceive back-up alarms and other warnings. Must be able to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions, subject to insects, flooded terrain, equipment/traffic, and other hazards.

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
