Salt Lake County is seeking a Landfill Supervisor to oversee daily operations, staff supervision, scheduling, and maintenance to ensure policy enforcement and continuous landfill operations.

The role requires extensive experience, a Stormwater certification, a valid Class B CDL, and a UDOT Medical Card, with adherence to safety and environmental regulations. Saturday and holiday work is required.

Qualificações

• Seven years of related experience, including one year supervisory.
• Stormwater certification at time of hire or within 90 days.
• Valid Class B CDL accepted by Utah within 6 months.
• Current Utah UDOT Medical Card at time of hire.
• Must pass mandatory drug test before starting; random testing may apply.
• Background check via fingerprinting and RAP Back enrollment.
• Ability to work Saturdays and holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and schedule staff; hire, orient, train, and evaluate performance.
• Analyze operational needs; develop objectives, procedures, and standards.
• Assign staff and resources for daily operations and ensure timely completion.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, environmental, and permit requirements.
• Oversee equipment and facility maintenance; recommend replacements.
• Support budgeting; monitor operational expenses.
• Ensure waste volume reduction plans are followed.
• Perform occasional landfill and compost duties as needed.
• Oversee safety programs and aggressive enforcement.
