Job summary

Athens Services in Landers, CA, seeks an Operations Supervisor – Landfill to oversee daily landfill operations, ensure safety, and maintain regulatory compliance. You will lead site staff, monitor production, and coordinate with engineering and environmental teams to align with permitted design criteria.

The role requires experience in landfill operations, strong leadership, and the ability to manage budgets, costs, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining safety standards for

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of progressively responsible landfill/post-collection operations experience, including leading employees and overseeing daily operations.
• Landfill-specific experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to obtain SWANA MOLO certification within 6 months or maintain MOLO certification for duration of employment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the daily operations of landfill facility.
• Resolves customer and site personnel problems per policy.
• Input daily information, review site paperwork, inspections and timesheets.
• Lead safety meetings and ensure training for staff.
