Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of heavy equipment operation experience.
• Valid Class A driver's license with tanker endorsement within 18 months of hire.
• Pre-employment physical examination and Respiratory Fit test required.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment for landfill operations; keeps equipment clean and functional.
• Operates water truck for dust control and fire suppression as needed.
• Operates gatehouse and uses automated scale system; calculates and collects waste fees.
• Directs vehicle traffic at the landfill.
• Maintains landfill shop, fences, and buildings.
• Performs snow removal and general site clean-up.
• Enter and retrieve data; prepare reports with basic office equipment.
