Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Idaho CDL Class B license with endorsements (if required).
• Minimum of two years related experience; landfill operation preferred.
• Heavy equipment operation experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains a variety of equipment safely according to procedures.
• Performs safety inspections on all equipment used.
• Performs scheduled maintenance and completes required forms.
• Assists shop mechanics with repairs and performs minor repairs when possible.
• Assists or fills in for other department employees as needed.
• Directs incoming traffic and determines cubic yardage of waste.
• Drives truck to distribute oil or water to control dust.
• Prepares reports and follows departmental policies.
