Republic Services is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate equipment at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station. The role includes pre- and post-operation inspections, loading and compacting waste, and maintaining equipment readiness to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.

Responsabilités

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspection of the equipment to ensure windows, lights, mirrors and camera are clean.
• Safely operate heavy equipment through tasks such as loading, spreading, covering and compacting waste or soil.
• Monitor equipment condition to minimize downtime and report repairs as needed.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and other necessary reports; follow safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure shop is clean and equipment is stored at shift end.
