Harnden Group, LLC in Harrisburg, PA is seeking an Estimator for landfill construction projects. The role focuses on preparing estimates for public and private landfill sites ranging from under $1M to $50M, with opportunities across PA, MD, DE, NJ, and VA.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in civil/site construction estimating, familiarity with drawings, earthwork, utilities, and bidding processes. This is an in-person position with a strong growth path and competitive salary.

Formación

• 3–5 years of estimating experience in civil/site construction, landfill projects preferred.
• Two- or four-year degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• Understanding of earthwork, utilities, and erosion & sediment controls.

Responsabilidades

• Review drawings and understand scope to include grading, utilities, landfill gas, leachate collection and E&S controls.
• Review project specifications and measurements for payment and geotechnical reports.
• Travel to pre-bid meetings and conduct site reviews.
• Complete quantity takeoffs to estimate crew setup and material costs.
• Identify and contact subcontractors and materials suppliers for quotes.
• Develop production rates and crew/equipment setups for bulk earthwork and slope grading.
• Build anticipated schedules with concurrent activities.
• Complete required bid documentation and submit bids.
• Maintain relationships with key contractors and vendors throughout projects.
• Collaborate with Estimating Team to incorporate best practices and innovation.
• Mentor junior staff to advance estimating skills.
