Job summary

RICK in Riverside seeks a Land Survey Analyst to join its Land Survey team. You will map the physical environment using GPS, total stations, UAVs, LiDAR, and CAD tools to produce topographic and boundary exhibits.

You will work with design, civil engineering, and water resources teams on project lifecycles, from records research to final plats and maps, while ensuring compliance with PLSS and ALTA/NSPS standards.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Geographic Information Systems or BS in Land Surveying with minimum six years of experience or equivalent.
• CA LSIT or ability to obtain CA LSIT within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Map the physical environment through data collection using GPS, robotic total stations, UAV/UAS, 3D laser scanners and LiDAR.
• Create data sets like aerial photography, orthophotography, contours, topography and surfaces.
• Plot results in CAD preparing exhibits and maps.
• Establish new parcels, lots, roads, subdivisions and easements; write legal descriptions and final plats.
• Work with design, civil engineering and water resources teams throughout project lifecycles.
• Engage with municipal agencies for research and map processing in CA counties.
