Job summary

RICK ENGINEERING COMPANY in Riverside, CA seeks a Land Survey Analyst to join the Land Survey department. You will collect data with GPS, total stations, UAVs, LiDAR, and photogrammetry, create CAD exhibits, and advance PLSS projects across multiple teams.

You will process survey records, prepare final plats, and collaborate with design and civil engineering to deliver accurate maps for projects. Strong CAD skills required.

Qualifications

• Candidate will have BA/BS in a Geographic Information Systems or BS in Land Surveying plus a minimum of six (2) years of experience or equivalent work experience of six (6) years.
• Is a land surveyor in training (LSIT) in the state of CA or ability to obtain CA LSIT within one year of hire.
• Must demonstrate an advanced understanding of boundary principles, land management as well as geometry and trigonometry.
• Experience processing and recording survey documents, final plats, through agency processes; proficient to independently perform survey and right of way related research.

Responsibilities

• Establishing new parcels, new lots, new roads, new subdivisions, new easements, writing legal descriptions and preparing final plats and exhibits.
• Coordinate with design teams and field personnel throughout project lifecycles.
• Preparation of GIS data sets for agency use (Shapefiles, Esri file geodatabase).
• Read and interpret construction drawings; analyze boundaries and field data.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D for mapping and exhibits.
