Job summary
Rick Engineering in Tucson, AZ seeks a Principal Survey Analyst to lead the land surveying effort on landmark projects. You will work with a multidisciplinary team using GPS, robotic total stations, UAV/UAS, 3D laser scanners, LiDAR, photogrammetry and CAD to create topography, exhibits and final plats.
The role focuses on PLSS analysis, boundary research, and preparing ALTA/NSPS surveys and Records of Survey in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, coordinating with design and field teams to deliver accurate,
Qualifications
- BA/BS in GIS or Land Surveying with minimum years of experience.
- Arizona RLS or eligible to obtain within one year.
- Experience with ALTA/NSPS standards and Records of Survey.
Responsibilities
- Surface creation and editing using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Analyze PLSS, determine boundaries, and process right-of-way records.
- Prepare final plats, exhibits, and survey descriptions for clients.
- Coordinate with design, civil engineering, and field teams throughout projects.
- Work with aerial imagery, LiDAR, and GIS datasets for mapping.
