Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Stuart, Florida is seeking planning students to join our office. This is not a remote position. You will contribute to pre-construction planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.

Responsibilities include solving complex problems, assisting project managers, and collaborating across disciplines to shape client visions for the future built environment. You will gain exposure to federal, state, and local regulations and zoning compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Planning degree (Bachelors or Masters) in City/Regional Planning, Urban Planning, Transportation Planning, or related major.

• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
• Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
• Evaluate development proposals to identify compliance with zoning regulations.
• Prepare planning and land use studies.
• Coordinate with various municipal and state agencies.

Qualifications

• In the process of receiving a Planning Degree (Bachelors or Masters) from an accredited program in of the following majors:
  • City and Regional Planning
  • Urban Planning
  • Transportation Planning
  • Or Other Related Major
