Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Los Angeles office is seeking Planning students to join the Transportation team for hands-on, on-site experience in a dynamic, real-world setting.

As a Planning student, you will contribute to pre-construction planning, permitting, and analysis, while collaborating with project managers and multiple disciplines to shape our clients' future built environment. This role offers exposure to zoning, regulations, and diverse project types.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Planning Degree (Bachelor's or Master's) from an accredited program.
• Majors listed in the qualifications.
• Ability to work on-site in Los Angeles.

Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for Planning students to join our Los Angeles, California (CA) office on the Transportation team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the pre-construction planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects ranging in size and scope.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients' visions for the future built environment.
• Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and our client's practices, procedures, and standards.
• Evaluate development proposals to identify compliance with zoning regulations.
• Prepare planning and land use studies.
• Coordinate with various municipal and state agencies.

Qualifications

In the process of receiving a Planning Degree (Bachelors or Masters) from an accredited program in of the following majors:

• City and Regional Planning
• Urban Planning
• Transportation Planning
• Or Other Related Major

Hourly Range : $30 - $31
