Job summary

Bohler’s Bowie, MD office is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (Land Development) who is eager to advance in civil engineering. You’ll partner with PMs and multidisciplinary teams to deliver land development solutions and grow as an engineer and leader.

You’ll manage scoping, proposals, schedules, and resources; oversee site plan packages; coordinate with clients and municipalities; mentor junior staff; and contribute to Bohler’s reputation for technical excellence.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of site design and jurisdictional permitting experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and drainage design software.
• Strong communication, organization, and project management skills.
• Experience working with clients and project teams; PE licensed is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support project management activities including scoping, proposals, schedules, and resource planning.
• Oversee site plan packages—grading, stormwater, utilities, erosion control.
• Coordinate permitting and entitlement processes with clients and agencies.
• Prepare contracts, change orders, and client invoices while tracking finances.
• Collaborate with clients, attorneys, and subconsultants to ensure project success.
• Review drawings and cost estimates aligned with client objectives.
• Participate in hearings and professional organizations; mentor junior staff.
