Job summary

Bohler Engineering Group in Bowie, MD is seeking a Project Manager who will oversee complex land development projects from concept to completion, balancing design quality with client satisfaction and financial performance.

You will lead internal teams, mentor assistants, manage budgets and contracts, and serve as the primary client contact, driving project success in a collaborative, results‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of civil/site design and permitting experience in land development.
• Proven success in managing project delivery and client relationships.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience overseeing budgets, contracts, and staff development.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and stormwater design software.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of project delivery, including design, permitting, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Serve as the primary client contact and ensure expectations are met through clear communication and proactive leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Assistant Project Managers and technical staff.
• Oversee financial performance, including contracts, invoicing, and change management.
• Present at public hearings, client meetings, and community sessions as needed.
• Collaborate with firm leadership on business development and account growth.
• Promote quality control, innovation, and continuous improvement within your team.
