Job summary

Bohler’s Raleigh, NC office seeks an Assistant Project Manager (Land Development) to advance civil engineering projects. You will partner with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver land development solutions, working closely with clients and municipalities.

You’ll grow as an engineer and leader, supporting project delivery, coordinating with stakeholders, and contributing to Bohler’s reputation for technical excellence and partnership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of site design and jurisdictional permitting experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and drainage software (StormCAD, Hydroflow or HydroCAD).
• Strong communication, organization and project management skills.
• Experience working directly with clients and project teams.
• PE license is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support project management activities, including project scoping, proposals, schedules, and resource planning.
• Oversee preparation of site plan packages—grading, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion and sediment control.
• Coordinate permitting and entitlement approval processes with clients, municipalities, and agencies.
• Prepare contracts, change orders, and client invoices while tracking financial performance.
• Collaborate with clients, attorneys, contractors, and subconsultants to ensure project success.
• Review concept drawings and cost estimates aligned with client objectives.
• Participate in public hearings, community meetings, and professional organizations.
• Mentor junior staff and share technical knowledge to promote team growth.
