Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. seeks a Land Development Project Manager to oversee the development of raw land for home construction in new communities.

The role involves managing vendors and contractors, coordinating civil improvements, and ensuring schedules and budgets align with project goals. Responsibilities include reviewing civil plans, overseeing infrastructure installation, liaising with officials, and maintaining As-Built drainage and landscape improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Three years of related experience with civil construction, landscaping, irrigation systems, and/or training hardscape installation and maintenance.
• Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Proficient in scheduling software.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Review and understand civil improvement plans, geotechnical evaluations, landscape plans and project specifications.
• Oversee development and scheduling for infrastructure installation, including lots, landscaping, parks and amenities.
• Coordinate with jurisdictional officials during installation and inspections of civil construction and related works.
• Track project milestones and communicate with internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Assist Project Managers with plan clarifications and revisions; work with subcontractor offices and field personnel.
