Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Land Development Project Manager to lead the development of raw land for home construction in new communities.

The role involves managing vendors and contractors, reviewing civil improvement plans, overseeing infrastructure installation, tracking milestones, and coordinating with city officials and engineers to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Must travel overnight and ensure compliance with codes and company policy.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Three years of related experience with civil construction, landscaping, irrigation systems, and/or training hardscape installation and maintenance.
• Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Proficient in scheduling software and MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Review civil improvement plans, geotechnical evaluations, landscape plans and project specs to deliver finished lots for home construction.
• Oversee development and scheduling for infrastructure installation, including lot preparation, landscaping, parks and amenities.
• Meet with jurisdictional officials during installation and inspection of civil construction and related works.
• Track project milestones and communicate with internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, engineers, and utility companies; assist in bid, review and award processes.
