Job summary

Legend Homes / Academy Development is seeking an Assistant Development Manager to support the Project Manager in day-to-day land development activities in Houston, TX. Responsibilities include due diligence on acquisitions, budget tracking, field observations, and coordinating with cross-functional teams through development approvals.

The role requires 1-3 years in land development, a related bachelor’s degree preferred, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of land development/infrastructure construction experience preferred; exposure to increasing levels of project oversight is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager of Land Development on analyzing new land opportunities and performing due diligence on potential acquisitions.
  • Support the creation, review, and maintenance of all due diligence property documents and reports, ensuring compliance with Camillo standards and notifying management of concerns and potential solutions.
  • Assist in coordinating information sharing and work distribution among land development, acquisitions, and construction teams.
  • Assist the Project Manager with administrative functions, including payroll processing and support, budgeting, budget tracking, and performance reporting, field observation and site visits, and attending MUD meetings.
