Job summary

Land Coordinator- Houston Northwest at D.R. Horton, Inc. coordinates land development tasks, reports and acquisition processes to ensure timely project completion. The role supports the Land Department and interfaces with vendors, attorneys and HOA boards to maintain smooth operations.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's degree (or equivalent) and may have 2–3 years of related experience. This is an in-person role requiring overtime and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or two to three years related experience or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of land development, acquisitions and land/lot purchases.
• Run various land reports and oversee file setup, distribution and maintenance.
• Coordinate HUD approvals for specific projects and generate purchase orders.
• Prepare and submit weekly funding requests and coding sheets at closing.
• Assist with land permit processing, track status and extension requests.
• Order surety bonds, letters of credit and support LD project managers with bond paperwork.
• Manage vendor contracts, provide new packages and answer contract questions.
• Serve as first contact for Homeowner's Associations and coordinate HOA documents.

Education

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
