Job summary

Quiddity in Central Texas is seeking a motivated Design Engineer with land development experience to work on grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway design under licensed engineers. You will contribute to design, prepare plans and reports, and coordinate with teams and permitting agencies in a fast-paced environment.

You will also mentor junior staff and advance toward licensure while pursuing a Texas PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• Actively pursuing Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state of Texas.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiar with local Texas development standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of land and site development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway design.
• Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and reports with support from senior staff.
• Coordinate with internal team members, subconsultants, and permitting agencies.
• Assist in preparing submittals and responding to review comments from municipalities and other stakeholders.
• Attend internal and external project meetings, including with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Support the mentoring of junior engineers and CAD designers as needed.
• Work under the supervision of a licensed engineer with the opportunity to advance toward licensure.
