Job summary

Quiddity is seeking a motivated Design Engineer in Central Texas to work on land and site development projects. You’ll design grading, drainage, utilities, and roadways, prepare plans and reports, and coordinate with teams and permitting agencies under supervision.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, EIT, 2–5 years in land/site development, and pursuing a Texas P.E. license with proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• 2–5 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in land or site development.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• Actively pursuing Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Texas.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiar with Texas development standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of land and site development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway design.
• Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and reports with support from senior staff.
• Coordinate with internal team members, subconsultants, and permitting agencies.
• Assist in preparing submittals and responding to review comments from municipalities and other stakeholders.
• Attend internal and external project meetings, including with clients and regulatory agencies.
• Support the mentoring of junior engineers and CAD designers as needed.
• Work under the supervision of a licensed engineer with the opportunity to advance toward licensure.
