Job summary

LaBella Associates' Civil Division in Syracuse, NY is seeking motivated interns to join the Land Development team for the summer of 2027. Interns will gain hands-on experience assisting engineers with site plans, drawings, and technical documents, while learning design tools and civil engineering practices.

You will work closely with team members to support project coordination, data collection from field visits, permit support material preparation, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of work-related experience.
• High school diploma pursuing a degree in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of site plans, drawings, and technical documents for land development projects.
• Support engineers and project teams with design development, basic calculations, data organization, and project-related research.
• Help gather field information through site visits, observations, and data collection activities.
• Assist with the preparation of reports, permit support materials, and other project documentation as needed.
• Collaborate with internal staff and multidisciplinary teams to support project coordination and timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Participate in training, mentoring, and professional development activities to build knowledge of land development processes, design tools, and engineering practices.
