Job summary

LaBella is seeking Interns for its Land Development team in Syracuse, NY for the summer of 2027. Interns will assist engineers, prepare site plans and reports, and gain practical civil engineering experience through hands-on projects.

Selected candidates will work under supervision, participate in training, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand land development processes and design tools. A valid driver's license and pursuing an engineering degree are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of site plans, drawings, and technical documents for land development projects.
• Support engineers and project teams with design development, basic calculations, data organization, and project-related research.
• Help gather field information through site visits, observations, and data collection activities.
• Assist with the preparation of reports, permit support materials, and other project documentation as needed.
• Collaborate with internal staff and multidisciplinary teams to support project coordination and timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Participate in training, mentoring, and professional development activities to build knowledge of land development processes, design tools, and engineering practices.

The Civil Division at LaBella provides 5 areas of service including Municipal, Land Development, Renewable Energy, Planning, Gas and Data Intelligence. We are currently looking for Interns to join our Land Development team at our Syracuse, NY office during the summer of 2027. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The chosen candidates will provide technical support to our engineers and will be given a number of opportunities to gain practical knowledge and experience in the civil engineering field. The intern will have the opportunity to work closely with various team members to explore many different facets of Civil Engineering.

Primary Accountabilities:

• Assist with the preparation of site plans, drawings, and technical documents for land development projects.
• Support engineers and project teams with design development, basic calculations, data organization, and project-related research.
• Help gather field information through site visits, observations, and data collection activities.
• Assist with the preparation of reports, permit support materials, and other project documentation as needed.
• Collaborate with internal staff and multidisciplinary teams to support project coordination and timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Participate in training, mentoring, and professional development activities to build knowledge of land development processes, design tools, and engineering practices.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
