Bohler in Chalfont, PA is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) for Summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience from concept to construction. You will work with engineers and project managers on site design projects and learn AutoCAD Civil 3D for grading, stormwater, and utility plans.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D; training provided if not proficient.
• Curiosity and motivation to learn within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Interest in civil site design, land development.

Responsibilities

• Experience the day-to-day operations of a civil engineering and site design firm.
• Learn the stages of land development and site design process.
• Design concept, grading, stormwater, and utility plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to drive projects forward.
• Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
• Visit sites to observe field conditions and see the engineering process in action.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to design improvements.
