Job summary

Atwell, LLC in Dallas, TX is seeking an engineer to design residential, commercial, and industrial projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D. You’ll prepare grading, utility, and stormwater design, coordinate with disciplines, and support permitting and client communications.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 2+ years of experience, fluent English, and a valid driver's license; occasional nights/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
• 2+ years of experience.
• Must be fluent in the English language.
• Available to work nights and weekends to complete projects as necessary.
• Proficient in MS Office. AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus.
• Must have a valid drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Designs site plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Prepares conceptual grading analyses and site layout.
• Prepares and computes, but not limited to due diligence/site analysis reports, engineer opinion of probable costs, utility computations, detention/retention computations, storm water reports, earthwork analysis.
• Assists in production of final construction drawings.
• Prepares permit applications for applicable municipal agencies.
• Assists project managers as requested.
• Assists with client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
• Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Attends client and public meetings- days or evenings.
• Participates in business development efforts as requested.
