Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a Civil CAD Designer who will support design staff with drafting standards and deliverables. You will create site layouts, grading, and drainage plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools, reviewing surveys and legal documents to ensure accuracy.

Responsibilities include collaborating with Project Managers to manage workload and timelines, and revising plans per comments from municipalities and clients. A technical background in drafting is required.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required; certificate/associate in drafting or engineering technology preferred.
4–10 years of civil design experience in land development.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Experience with Maryland Eastern Shore projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

Serve as a resource for design staff regarding drafting practices, standards, and procedures.
Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software to complete assignments per Atwell standards.
Produce civil drawings: site layout, grading, drainage, water/sewer plans, construction staking.
Review survey data and documents (ALTA, easements, condo docs).
Edit and revise plans based on comments from municipalities, agencies, and clients.
Communicate with Project Managers on workflow and schedule.
