D.R. Horton, Inc., the nation’s largest homebuilder, seeks a Land Acquisition Area Manager for Ocean County, New Jersey.

You will source, evaluate, negotiate, and secure land opportunities, serving as the primary transaction lead from identification through closing. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years in land acquisition or real estate, strong negotiation and financial analysis skills, and willingness to travel overnight in a full-time role.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Finance, Urban Planning, Engineering, or equivalent years of experience.
• 5–7 years of progressive experience in land acquisition, development, real estate, or homebuilding.
• Ability to independently manage complex transactions and provide sound recommendations.
• Strong initiative, persistence, and ability to balance risk and profitability.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and quick to learn new programs.

Aufgaben

• Identify and pursue land acquisition opportunities aligned with strategy and housing demand forecasts.
• Lead negotiations with landowners, brokers, developers, attorneys, and stakeholders on purchase terms.
• Evaluate opportunities via financial analysis, due diligence, and risk assessments.
• Structure transactions to maximize profitability while minimizing risk.
• Coordinate due diligence and entitlement, environmental, engineering, and legal reviews.
• Present acquisition recommendations to senior leadership for approval.
• Develop relationships with brokers, developers, landowners, and industry professionals.
• Manage transactions through contract execution to closing.
• Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities.
• Support long-range land planning and growth initiatives.
