Job summary

UNICOM Engineering is seeking a LAN Support Technician II to join our Plano team. You will support hardware, software, and peripherals, deploy new PCs/phones, and manage user accounts and access across the LAN.

You’ll monitor the help desk, troubleshoot OS and app issues, and assist with remote access via VPN. The role requires solid knowledge of Windows desktop/server OS, Active Directory, Office 365, and networking fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Windows desktop environments (Windows 11)
• Experience with Windows Server OS (2008–2025) and M365
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Exchange
• Knowledge of networking concepts, wireless networking, routers/switches
• Experience with VPN and remote access
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Provide LAN/desk-side support for hardware, software, and peripherals
• New user setup and provisioning (PC/phone deployment, ID creation)
• Monitor and resolve help desk tickets; escalate when needed
• Remote access support via VPN; document configurations
• Manage software licenses and inventory; maintain documentation
