Job summary

C-P Flexible Packaging is seeking a Lamination Shift Supervisor to oversee overnight production in York, PA, Tuesday–Saturday 8pm–4am. You will lead teams across adhesive and extrusion lamination, press rewinders, and related processes to drive safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience managing production data, reporting, and performance metrics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; ERP/MRP systems; timekeeping systems.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor machine performance, production schedules, product quality, and operational efficiency.

• Partner with Scheduling to maintain workflow and material availability.
• Manage staffing levels, vacation scheduling, and shift coverage.
• Oversee training, performance management, and development; participate in evaluations.

Join Our Growing Team! C-P Flexible Packaging is a successful and fast-growing essential manufacturing company that uses an impressive array of digital pre-press and wide-web flexographic printing capabilities and extrusion and adhesive laminators to produce creative flexible packaging solutions for our customers. Our York facility is looking for a Lamination Supervisor to provide coverage on overnights Tuesday-Saturday 8pm-4am.

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Lamination Shift Supervisor to help lead our manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and is passionate about safety, quality, productivity, and employee development.

The Lamination Shift Supervisor will oversee production activities across multiple departments, ensuring operational excellence while supporting and developing a high-performing team.

What You'll Do

As a key member of our operations leadership team, you will:

• Lead and supervise employees in the following areas:
  • Adhesive Lamination
  • Extrusion Lamination
  • Press Roll Rewinders
• Drive achievement of production, quality, safety, and productivity goals
• Monitor machine performance, production schedules, product quality, and operational efficiency
• Analyze production data and utilize metrics to identify improvement opportunities
• Partner with Scheduling to maintain workflow and ensure material availability
• Manage staffing levels, vacation scheduling, and shift coverage
• Oversee employee training, performance management, and professional development
• Conduct employee evaluations and participate in corrective action processes as needed
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and company operating procedures
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and special projects
• Promote a positive culture through employee engagement, communication, accountability, and servant leadership

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing supervisory experience
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Experience managing production data, reporting, and performance metrics
• Proficiency with:
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • ERP/MRP systems
  • Timekeeping and attendance systems
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with flexographic printing, web handling, converting, lamination, and slitting processes
• Experience in packaging or related manufacturing environments

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the production facility
• Ability to climb stairs and navigate manufacturing environments
• Ability to become forklift certified
• Ability to use computers, phones, and related technology effectively

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing setting and may be exposed to:

• Production equipment and moving machinery
• Industrial noise levels
• Inks, adhesives, solvents, and other manufacturing materials

Required personal protective equipment (PPE) may include:

• Safety glasses

• Hairnets and other food-packaging safety equipment
