Job summary

Norton’s Restaurant in Green Lake, WI (now under Gage Marine's family of businesses) is hiring Bussers and Food Runners to join our team. As a busser, you’ll help keep the dining area clean, organized, and guest-ready, working closely with servers to ensure a seamless visit from start to finish.

Ideal candidates are high-energy, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment by lakeside.

Qualifications

High energy level with a focus on cleanliness and thoroughness.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs as needed.
Flexible schedule with nights, weekends and some holidays.
Prior bussing or hospitality experience a plus, but not required.
Customer-service oriented and eager to contribute to guest satisfaction.
Must be very neat in appearance and dress.
High School Diploma or GED; or working towards.

Responsibilities

Pre-bus, clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently.
Assist servers with guest needs, including filling waters and delivering food.
Polish silverware and glassware to maintain high presentation standards.
Refill ice bins and maintain stock for service.
Keep the restaurant clean, including taking out garbage and linens, cleaning spills, and sweeping floors.
Support setup and breakdown, including moving tables and performing opening/closing duties.
Assist with outdoor tasks such as raking or shoveling as directed.
Work as part of the team to maintain smooth and efficient dining operations.
A Food Runner is a professional who is responsible for quickly and accurately delivering orders from the kitchen to customers at the restaurant.
