Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts is seeking a friendly, polished server to deliver exceptional guest service at our Chicago restaurant. You will greet guests, take and enter orders, and ensure accurate delivery of meals and beverages while promoting specials.

Responsibilities include using the POS system, handling payments, ensuring compliance with alcohol service rules, and maintaining a welcoming dining room. The role requires teamwork, reliability, and strong communication with guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service and etiquette.
• Knowledge of menu items and service standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage guest needs quickly.

Responsibilities

• Check station before, during and after shift for setup and cleanliness.
• Greet guests, explain specials, and promote restaurant promotions.
• Record guest orders and repeat for accuracy.
• Enter orders into the POS to notify the kitchen.
• Retrieve orders and deliver to guests with condiments.
• Adhere to all laws and policies for serving alcohol.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Present dessert items or specialty coffees as requested.
• Close out checks using POS and ensure accuracy.
• Present checks promptly and resolve guest questions.
• Maintain regular attendance and arrive on time.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
