Job summary

HEI Hotels and Resorts is seeking a full-time Server for our Chicago restaurant located inside The Wade hotel. You will greet guests, take and input orders, and deliver meals with attentiveness to guest satisfaction in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires knowledge of beverage service, menu items, and a willingness to work a flexible schedule in a team environment. Compensation is hourly with a tipping/service charge impact.

Qualifications

• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
• Ability to operate a keyboard and learn POS procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of food & beverage preparation, service standards and etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Check station before, during and after shift for set-up and cleanliness.
• Greet guests, explain specials and promotions.
• Record orders accurately and input into POS.
• Deliver orders to guests with appropriate condiments and up-sell desserts or coffees.
• Handle beverages and maintain guest satisfaction throughout service.
• Comply with state, federal and corporate requirements for serving alcohol.
• Follow attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
