Qualifications

• Must be a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or hold a temporary ADC-T permit or be exempt under MN Statutes 148F.
• Must document competence in screening for and working with mental health problems (12-hour education + experience).
• CPR and First Aid certification required or obtained before direct patient contact.
• Must pass background studies issued by the Minnesota Department of Human Services.

Responsibilities

• Provide SUD counseling services as defined in 12 Core Functions (screening, intake, orientation, assessment, treatment planning, counseling, case management, crisis intervention, education, referral, records, and consultation).
• Maintain records per CADT policy and licensing regulations and participate in team meetings and professional development.
• Diagnose SUD when exempt or licensed as appropriate and collaborate with families to identify needs and referrals.
