Job summary

The Indian Health Board of Minneapolis, Inc. is seeking a LADC Counselor responsible for providing comprehensive alcohol and drug counseling services to clients. The ideal candidate will manage a case load with co-occurring disorders and conduct assessments. A Minnesota Alcohol and Drug Counselor Licensure is required, alongside experience and excellent communication skills. Qualifications

• Must be able to pass DHS background study and meet requirements.
• Must be free from problematic substance use for at least two years.
• Knowledge of legal and ethical issues related to patient's rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive alcohol and drug counseling services.
• Manage a case load with co-occurring disorders.
• Conduct Comprehensive Assessments and Surveys.

Skills

Licensure by the State of Minnesota for Alcohol and Drug Counselor

Three to five years' clinical experience

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent computer and organizational skills

Microsoft Outlook/Office and Electronic Health Record experience

Ability to perform basic health assessment procedures

Education
